Keep your eyes peeled for restaurants that have playgrounds, parks, and nice open fields where your kids can take a break and burn off a little unneeded energy.

Change things up often by moving the toys around or incorporating new toys into a child’s toy box. Toddlers will cast away toys that they do not like and play favorites with those they enjoy. Keeping things in rotation preserves the sense of curiosity kids have in their toys, and removes the need to keep buying new ones.

Maintain a consistent bedtime routine with your young child. This will help your child relax before going to sleep. Sometimes, they tell you a little late. To cut down on accidents, walk your child to his “potty” consistently, about every two hours. This will help him remember that he might need to go.

If you need to apply eye drops, ask your child to close their eyes and apply the drop on the eyelid. The drop will then go into the eye as soon as your child opens their eyes.

Do not give your child everything he wants. It is okay to give in sometimes, but make sure it is on your terms. You want to avoid letting your child think that he or she is in charge. If your child thinks he or she can control you, you’re in for a difficult ride.
